About the role
Building Evolution is looking for a team member with a Bachelor of Science degree in engineering, architecture, construction technology, or similar, and a technical understanding of high-performance building of Mechanical and Enclosure systems.
Responsibilities
- Perform advanced energy modeling analysis for commercial and residential buildings primarily using OpenStudio/Energy Plus in accordance with ASHRAE Standards.
- Perform energy savings and lifecycle cost analyses of energy saving measures related to the building enclosure, lighting, HVAC, plug loads, and building energy management systems.
- Perform Excel-based calculations utilizing engineering principles.
- Technical design review of Mechanical and Enclosure design.
- Develop and write reports that detail building components as well as describe energy efficiency measures to improve design and control for new and existing facilities.
- Perform on-site inspections and testing involving visual observation and diagnostic testing of building performance issues, enclosure/mechanical system failures.
Qualifications
- Bachelor of Science degree in engineering, architecture, construction technology, or similar.
- Technical understanding of high-performance building of Mechanical and Enclosure systems.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience as a Certified Passive House Consultant (Phius).
- Experience with WUFI Passive (and/or METr), THERM modeling, developing building geometry from plans in SketchUp, and submitting Phius projects for Design and Final Certification.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office and cloud-based file management tools.

Pay
Salary Range: $70,000 - $82,000, commensurate with experience.
