Building Operations & Capital Projects Manager

About the role

The Building Operations & Capital Projects Manager oversees all aspects of building maintenance and capital projects within the organization. This includes managing the day-to-day operations of facilities, coordinating with contractors for new construction and renovation projects, and ensuring compliance with all safety regulations.

Responsibilities

• Oversee facility maintenance and ensure all systems are functioning properly.
• Coordinate with contractors for capital projects including new construction and renovations.
• Ensure compliance with all safety regulations and adhere to environmental standards.
• Develop and implement strategies to improve building efficiency and sustainability.
• Manage vendor relationships and negotiate contracts for services and materials.
• Prepare and present reports on facility maintenance and project progress to senior management.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Facilities Management, or related field.
• Minimum 5 years of experience in building operations and/or capital projects management.
• Proven ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and meet deadlines.
• Strong knowledge of building codes, safety regulations, and environmental standards.
• Excellent organizational and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Qualifications

• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
• Experience with project management software such as Primavera or Microsoft Project.
• Knowledge of sustainable building practices and energy-efficient technologies.
• Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.
