Building Operating Engineer
About the Role
We are working with a respected facility operations team to hire a skilled professional who will help maintain reliable building performance and support day-to-day operations. Our team is seeking someone who can keep critical systems running efficiently while contributing to a safe and comfortable environment for building occupants.
Responsibilities
- Perform hands-on maintenance and repairs on HVAC, electrical, plumbing, and fire life safety systems.
- Maintain and update the CMMS with accurate work order and building systems information.
- Complete preventive maintenance tasks and respond promptly to service requests.
- Support equipment installations, vendor oversight, and parts inventory management.
Requirements
- High school diploma or GED.
- EPA Universal certification.
- Minimum 3 years of building maintenance experience, including electrical, HVAC, and plumbing systems.
- Strong electrical and mechanical aptitude with proven troubleshooting abilities.
- Experience working with computerized work order systems and CMMS platforms.
- Ability to work effectively with multiple computerized building systems and control platforms.
