Building Manager I
About the role
Coordinate building services within assigned facility(s). Services include general maintenance, safety, emergency preparedness, custodial, space planning, construction, and preventive maintenance. Serve as a resource for building users and third-party vendors/external service providers.
This position will interact on a consistent basis with building tenants, building maintenance management, and service providers, and will advise and counsel building tenants and service providers.
Responsibilities
- Serve as the main point of contact for all building-related issues.
- Perform general maintenance repairs/assembly or provide coordination of repairs for the general building structure, including doors, windows, locks, and furniture.
- Coordinate with vendors in performing maintenance, installation, and construction services.
- Maintain building records and prepare reports/documentation.
- Monitor and maintain building security and safe practices.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Requirements
- High school diploma, GED Certificate, or Vocational School Diploma.
- Five to seven years of job-related experience.
Preferred Qualifications
- Proven experience running all maintenance-related power tools, including heavy equipment such as skid steer, scissor lift, and forklifts.
- Good computer skills, including working knowledge of computer systems and software.
- Good working knowledge of mechanics, plumbing, electrical, carpentry skills, and painting.
Skills
This job requires advanced working knowledge of building operations and general maintenance requirements. Skills in customer service, contractor relations, building security and safety, and building records maintenance are required, as is the use of office-related computer applications.
Pay
Salary range is dependent on candidate's experience and skills, ranging from $45,419.00 to $61,771.00 (Job Grade C07).
Due to research contracts with the U.S. federal government, candidates for this position must be U.S. Citizens. This position is located in Cobb County and requires the ability to pass a background check. A valid driver’s license is required for this role.
