Building Maintenance Worker II (DL) - Honolulu, Oahu
About the role
This position supervises and performs a variety of skilled maintenance and repair work in the upkeep of buildings and structures, and equipment housed therein; and performs other related duties as required.
Responsibilities
- Supervises and performs a variety of building maintenance and repair work.
- Performs carpentry, electrical, plumbing, masonry, painting, drywall, flooring/roofing, water heater installation/repair, air conditioning installation/repair, and other hands-on experience in building maintenance and repair tasks.
Requirements
- Experience Requirement: Six (6) years of work experience which involved the performance of a variety of building maintenance repair work; or an equivalent combination of experience and training.
- Two (2) years of the required experience must have been at the journey level (fully competent worker).
- Selective Certification Requirement - Driver's License: Due to the driving duties of the position, applicants must possess a valid and unexpired driver's license to operate a motor vehicle.
Qualifications
- Non-Qualifying Experience: Experience as a janitor, groundskeeper, laborer, or other related work which is not involved in performing a variety of building, structure, and equipment repairs on a regular, ongoing basis is not considered qualifying experience.
Skills
- Must possess a valid and unexpired driver's license to operate a motor vehicle.
