Building Maintenance Worker

About the role

The Building Maintenance Worker position at Lewis County General Hospital is a full-time, evening shift role. The position is anticipated to have a salary range of $20.84 - $26.45 per hour.

Responsibilities

• Perform routine building maintenance tasks including carpentry, electrical, plumbing, heating, and air conditioning work.
• Clean and maintain hospital facilities.
• Ensure compliance with safety regulations.
• Respond to emergency situations as needed.

Requirements

• Completion and certification of a course of study from a vocational technical school in carpentry, electrical trades, plumbing/heating/air conditioning, or building maintenance.
• Graduation from high school or possession of an equivalency diploma and two years of experience in general building construction, general building cleaning, or maintenance work.
• An equivalent combination of training and experience as defined by the limits of (A), or (B) above.

Qualifications

• Pass a competitive Civil Service Examination.
• Be reachable for appointment on the resulting Civil Service List.
