Building Maintenance Worker
About the Role
The Building Maintenance Worker is responsible for maintaining the safety, functionality, and appearance of assigned buildings and facilities. This role includes performing routine inspections, repairs, and general upkeep to ensure a clean, safe, and operational environment. Tasks may involve plumbing, electrical, carpentry, painting, HVAC maintenance, cemetery maintenance, and groundskeeping. The Building Maintenance Worker will follow maintenance schedules, promptly address emergency repairs, and work with contractors as needed to complete specialized repairs. This position requires a proactive, hands-on individual with a keen eye for detail and a commitment to upholding the highest standards of facility care and safety. This is an in-person position that is not eligible for remote work.
Requirements
- Valid Colorado Driver's License, or ability to obtain within 6 months of hire.
- Ability to pass a background and MVR check with results acceptable to the City of Rifle.
- Ability to pass Rifle PD NCIC/CCIC background allowing unescorted access to the facility.
- Ability to work on-call, rotating shifts, some nights, weekends, and holidays.
Qualifications
- High School Diploma or Equivalent.
- One year of experience in routine building maintenance, including basic plumbing, electrical, and carpentry experience.

Pay
The wage range is $23.67 to $27.27 hourly, depending on experience and qualifications.
