Duties And Responsibilities
- Conduct routine and emergency maintenance across the facility, including repairs in drywall, plumbing, electrical systems, and carpentry.
- Manage inventory for maintenance supplies and work closely with vendors to complete tasks effectively.
- Utilize a computerized maintenance management system (CMMS) to log work orders, maintenance activities, and resource utilization.
- Ensure compliance with safety standards, OSHA, and other regulatory requirements, wearing proper Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) as needed.
- Respond swiftly to emergency situations, prioritizing employee and facility safety.
- Maintain tools and equipment in a clean, safe, and operational condition.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
- A high school diploma or GED, with 2-5 years of related facility maintenance experience, preferably in a warehouse setting.
- A valid state Driver’s License with proof of liability coverage meeting Company standards.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to work effectively with team members and vendors; bilingual in English/Spanish is a plus.
- Proven ability to handle a variety of tasks and responsibilities in a dynamic environment.
- A commitment to safety, with a track record of adhering to safety protocols and regulations.
Physical Demands
- Heavy Lifting and Carrying: Regular lifting and carrying of tools, equipment, and parts, often exceeding 50 pounds.
- Extensive Standing and Walking: Prolonged periods of standing and walking throughout the facility or around vehicles.
- Climbing and Crawling: Frequent climbing on ladders or into vehicles and crawling into tight spaces for repairs and maintenance.
- Manual Dexterity: Continuous use of hands for repairs, adjustments, and maintenance tasks requiring precision.
- Bending and Twisting: Regular bending, kneeling, twisting, and stooping to access repair sites and handle tools or parts.
- Exposure to Elements: Work in various weather conditions for outdoor tasks and exposure to dust, fumes, and loud noises.
- Operational Use of Vehicles and Equipment: Operation of maintenance vehicles, equipment, and machinery as part of repair duties.
- Shift Work: Possibility of shift work, including nights, weekends, and emergency call-outs.
