Building Maintenance Technician

As a CBRE Maintenance Technician, you will maintain small to medium-sized buildings, industrial systems, and equipment. This role is part of the Engineering and Technical Services job function, providing support, preventive maintenance, and repairs on equipment and systems. You will report to the same location each morning and use a company-provided vehicle to travel to various sites within the surrounding area.

Responsibilities

  • Perform ongoing preventive maintenance and repairs on mechanical, electrical, and other building systems.
  • Conduct routine maintenance inspections, diagnose potential problems, and make repairs.
  • Assist with the installation and modification of building equipment and systems.
  • Review assigned work orders and partner with available systems to track completion.
  • Support energy management by ensuring all building systems operate efficiently.
  • Inspect existing installations for compliance with building codes and safety regulations.
  • Use existing procedures to solve straightforward problems.
  • Exchange straightforward information in a clear, concise manner.
  • Deliver output by following defined procedures and processes under close supervision.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma, GED, or trade school diploma with 1-2 years of job-related experience. In lieu of a diploma, a combination of experience and education will be considered.
  • Meet physical requirements, including stooping, standing, walking, climbing stairs/ladders, and lifting/carrying heavy loads of 50 lbs. or more.
  • Ability to follow basic work routines and standards.
  • Communication skills to exchange straightforward information.
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Office products (Word, Excel, Outlook, etc.).
  • Strong organizational skills with an inquisitive mindset.
  • Must pass a background check, drug screening (including marijuana), motor vehicle record (MVR) review, and a pre-employment physical.
  • Must be currently authorized to work in the United States without the need for visa sponsorship now or in the future.

Schedule

  • Monday through Friday, 7:00 a.m. to 3:30 p.m.
  • On-call rotation of one week approximately every eight weeks.
