Building Maintenance Technician

Position Summary

A. Duie Pyle, a family-owned business since 1924, offers integrated transportation and distribution solutions throughout the Northeast. This role involves maintaining safe, efficient, and productive building and grounds environments at all ADP properties as directed by supervision/management.

Responsibilities

• Safely perform applicable building repairs and preventative maintenance (electrical, electronics, plumbing, HVAC, carpentry, etc.)
• Maintain and/or troubleshoot routine electrical/burg/fire protection systems, devices, etc.
• Maintain commercial/industrial property components including but not limited to dock plates, overhead doors, fire pumps, fire suppression systems, HVAC filter & belt maintenance, domestic water systems, snow scraping devices, roofs and similar structures, UST/AST and delivery systems, truck./car and man gates and fencing, painting, cleaning, etc.
• Maintain company property grounds which may include but not limited to lawn care, landscaping, asphaltic and concrete surfaces, snow plowing/shoveling
• Operate forklifts, aerial work platforms and other operating equipment
• Perform property/facility visual inspections to include fire suppression devices, lighting, ingress/egress, OSHA
• Respond to after-hours/emergency calls at responsible property locations
• Maintain and organize files/documentation for applicable facilities

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Clean, verifiable driving record (MVR)
• Self-motivated, self-starter
• Verifiable skills in Facilities Maintenance arena
• Skills required include mechanical, plumbing, carpentry, electrical, welding
• Experience with gas/oil burners and hydraulics are beneficial
• Electrical, HVAC, lift truck certifications or advanced licensing a plus

Physical Requirements

• Must be able to lift 50+ lbs
• Must be able to walk long distances, over diverse terrain, for long periods
• Must be able to climb ladders, work at height, or roofs as required
• Sitting at desk for long periods of time
• Viewing PC monitor and using keyboard for long periods of time
• Diverse settings can be external or internal, and during periods of inclement weather
