Responsibilities
- Captures and coordinates work schedules.
- Maintains standards and inspects work assignments.
- Answers questions and gives advice as needed.
- Manages the assigned facilities and governs their use.
- Reads blueprints and understands architectural symbols and designs.
- Responds to facility occupants to ensure a comfortable, safe, clean, and conducive environment.
- Performs routine maintenance and repairs.
- Completes and logs work orders.
- Inspects and performs preventative maintenance and repairs on HVAC equipment.
- Installs and repairs lighting systems and telecommunications wires and lines.
- Manages electrical, plumbing, mechanical, and building automated control systems.
- Maintains water systems, including treating water and repairing water treatment systems.
- Maintains fire and life safety equipment and systems.
- Daily monitors and assists in the inspection of facilities chiller(s), boiler(s), and elevators if applicable.
- Coordinates contractors and responds to emergency calls and after-hour requests.
- Maintains a healthy, sanitary, and safe environment for all occupants.
- Schedules and prepares for various inspections.
- Maintains a fleet of County vehicles, including scheduled maintenance and major repairs.
Requirements
- Vocational or Technical Degree or specialized training equivalent to two (2) years of college education with emphasis in building construction, electrical, HVAC, plumbing, or related field.
- One (1) year of building construction or trade experience or an equivalent combination of education, training, and experience.
Qualifications
Must possess and maintain a valid state driver’s license with an acceptable driving history.
