About the role
The Jefferson County Buildings and Grounds Department is currently seeking applications for Building Maintenance Mechanic.
Responsibilities
- Perform general building construction, maintenance, or repair tasks in one or more of the standard trades such as carpentry, plumbing, electrical work, masonry, etc.
- Assist in the implementation of safety procedures and policies.
- Operate and maintain various tools and equipment used in building maintenance and repair.
- Follow all safety protocols and guidelines.
Requirements
- Three years of experience in general building construction, maintenance or repair in one or more of the standard trades such as carpentry, plumbing, electrical work, masonry, etc.
- Six years of experience assisting in general building construction, maintenance or repair in one or more of the standard trades such as carpentry, plumbing, electrical work, masonry, etc.
- An equivalent combination of training and experience as defined by the limits of (A) and (B) above.
