Building Janitorial Manager

Sodexo is hiring a Building Janitorial Manager for a high-profile pharmaceutical campus in the King of Prussia, PA area.

About the role

In this hands-on leadership role, you’ll oversee frontline environmental services teams to ensure high standards of cleanliness, safety, and efficiency in GMP, FDA-compliant cleaning operations across two connected buildings. You’ll play a key part in scheduling, training, and supporting daily operations, helping create a safe and welcoming environment for all. Accountable for managing people, setting direction, and deploying resources, including performance evaluation, pay reviews, and hire/fire decisions. Results are primarily achieved through the work of others and typically depend on the manager's ability to influence and negotiate with parts of the organization. Progression within the career band reflects acquisition of broad technical expertise, business and industry knowledge, and process and people leadership capabilities. Accountable for business, functional, or operational areas, processes, or programs, which may include dotted-line or matrixed management.

Responsibilities

• Lead GMP and FDA-compliant cleaning operations in highly sensitive, regulated spaces
• Manage inventory and a team of 8 frontline environmental services staff
• Oversee scheduling, training, and daily operational support
• Ensure critical attention to detail in cleanliness, safety, and efficiency
• Collaborate with other parts of the organization to meet operational goals

Requirements

• Proven experience leading or supervising environmental services or custodial teams in a fast-paced setting
• Deep understanding of safety protocols and regulatory standards within facilities operations
• Multitasking skills with a focus on meeting deadlines and supporting operational goals
• Clear and confident communication skills with a sharp eye for detail
• Technical proficiency in custodial tools, processes, and systems

Qualifications

High School/GED or associate’s degree or equivalent experience.

Pay

$58,735 – $72,000 per year, based on a candidate's specific criteria like experience, skills, education, and training.

Schedule

Sunday–Thursday, second shift (4:00 PM – 12:00 AM).
