About the role

This is a full-time, day-shift skilled-trades/technician position within the Superintendent Office.

Responsibilities

• Maintain, repair, and install building systems, structures, and equipment.
• Perform preventive maintenance and respond to emergency repair requests.
• Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical manuals.
• Operate hand and power tools, diagnostic equipment, and trade-specific machinery.
• Ensure compliance with safety regulations and building codes.
• Document work orders, inventory, and maintenance logs.
• Collaborate with other tradespeople, contractors, and staff as needed.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Valid Nevada driver’s license.
• Minimum of three (3) years of verifiable experience in a skilled trade (e.g., carpentry, plumbing, electrical, HVAC, general maintenance).
• Ability to lift 50 pounds, climb ladders, and work in confined spaces.
• Must pass a pre-employment physical and drug screening.
• Complete seven (7) years of work history in the “Experience and Credentials” section of the application, including periods of unemployment, schooling, and volunteer work.

Qualifications

• Journeyman-level certification or equivalent in a recognized trade (preferred).
• Experience in a school district or public-sector maintenance environment (preferred).
• Familiarity with computerized maintenance management systems (CMMS).
