Building/Grounds Specialist II- Evergreen

Job Responsibilities

• Performs housekeeping duties, including sweeping, mopping, vacuuming, dusting, scrubbing, and polishing floors in assigned area.
• Uses buffing machine, wet-and-dry vacuum and roto washer.
• Shampoos carpet using a carpet extractor.
• Accompanies supervisor while conducting inspections of buildings.
• Discusses inspection results with Supervisor.
• Follows guidance to staff on safety measures, policies, and procedures to ensure compliance with established rules and guidelines.
• Affords assistance in testing new cleaning products and updating records regarding use and performance.
• Maintains inventory, orders, and distributes supplies in assigned areas.
• Requests new products as needed.
• Stays abreast of standards for equipment use.
• Inspects and restocks restrooms.
• Completes on-the-job training and related educational instruction as outlined in the Custodial training program.
• Completes University required trainings (online and in person).
• Responds to emergency, weekend, and snow callbacks.

Minimum Requirements

• Experience in custodial, housekeeping or pest control work directly related to area.
• Experience: 1+ years preferred.
• Education: High School or Equivalent.
• Certification: Custodial Services preferred.
• Licenses: Drivers License Class D normal.
• Work Experience: 3+ years preferred.
