Building Engineer/HVAC Mechanic
About the role
The Building Engineer/HVAC Mechanic will be responsible for the preventative maintenance of all mechanical systems, boiler operation, parts inventory, entering occupancy schedules into and monitoring equipment performance on BAS, daily equipment rounds, maintaining clean and well-organized mechanical rooms area and clear communication with team. Additionally, they will assist in other areas as needed, including repairs to kitchen and laundry equipment.

Requirements
A self-starter, capable of working alone or with a team, excellent trouble-shooting skills, problem-solving abilities, maintaining a high service standard, providing regular clear and detailed communication, good computer skills including Excel, Word, Outlook, and ability to learn other systems as necessary. Must be physically capable of performing the work of maintaining a high-rise hotel in a safe manner, including lifting up to 50 pounds, climbing and working from ladders & scaffolding, operating lifts, pallet jacks and forklifts, pulling, pushing, walking, climbing stairs, working in confined spaces, and able to work in hot and cold conditions.
Qualifications
- Previous experience with large building mechanical systems to include boiler operation, air handler maintenance, fan coil units, water softeners, heat exchangers, chillers, cooling towers, closed loop systems, mechanical diagnostics, repairs and replacements including motors, pumps, actuators, filters, fire suppression, fire alarm, smoke control, building automation systems, plumbing systems, electrical systems and CMMS systems.

Pay
The budgeted range for this position is $35.00 - $45.50/hour. Actual pay will be commensurate with ability and experience.
Schedule
This is a full-time position. Candidates must be willing to work on weekends and holidays. Flexibility is a must, shift times may change slightly. Schedules will vary based on business needs.
