Duties and Responsibilities
- Perform building maintenance tasks including but not limited to: cleaning, graffiti removal, wall patching and painting, moving (internal to building), preventative maintenance checks and services, limited electrical, plumbing, and HVAC tasks.
- Support school activities and events by setting up, tearing down, and cleaning up.
- Open assigned building at established times when applicable.
- Perform outdoor maintenance including sweeping steps, entryways, and alcoves, picking up trash, and emptying outdoor garbage receptacles.
- Remove snow and ice from walkways and entryways.
- Pressure wash exterior sidewalks once a year.
- Respond to all school radio and cell phone calls for service. May need to perform emergency biohazard cleanups.
- Audit facilities and report maintenance needs to the appropriate supporting entity.
- Perform other related duties as assigned or requested.
Minimum Qualifications
- High School Equivalency (HSE) diploma
- No professional work experience required
- Criminal background check and fingerprinting required for hire

Prior Experience
- General maintenance, construction, or grounds experience
- Experience with various tools (hand and power)
- Customer service experience
- Experience working directly with people from diverse racial, ethnic, and socioeconomic backgrounds
- Bilingual (English/Spanish)
- Racially conscious and culturally competent with the skill, will, capacity, and knowledge to commit to a culture of continuous improvement
- Intermediate verbal and written communication skills
