About the Role
The Building Engineer is responsible for maintaining and operating building systems to ensure safety, efficiency, and community well-being.
Responsibilities
- Perform inspections, preventive, and corrective maintenance on electrical, plumbing, HVAC, and other systems.
- Respond to service requests, manage work orders, and coordinate with vendors to complete tasks.
- Maintain accurate records, manage building management systems, and ensure a clean, safe environment.
- Assist with parts and supplies procurement and follow safety protocols.
Requirements
- 3-5 years of experience in commercial building systems maintenance.
- Strong mechanical skills, especially with HVAC equipment.
- Proficiency in troubleshooting, operating, and repairing building systems.
- Basic technology skills, including work order management and building automation systems.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Effective communication skills.
- Must hold a CFC Universal certification.
- Physically capable of lifting 50 lbs., walking, kneeling, and climbing ladders.
- Reliable transportation.
