About the role
The Mobile Building Engineer II within Corporate Advisory & Solutions provides comprehensive maintenance and operational services across multiple properties with an emphasis on troubleshooting and ensuring efficient building operations.
Responsibilities
- Manage and maintain complex systems across multiple properties, including HVAC, lighting, and plumbing; develop advanced knowledge of HVAC, BAS, and electrical systems with the ability to diagnose and repair complex mechanical systems.
- Congduct scheduled and unscheduled maintenance across properties.
- Maintain records of inspections and work orders for each site.
- Provide mentoring and technical guidance to junior Mobile Maintenance Technicians while assisting with training initiatives to improve team performance.
- Partner with property managers, contractors, and vendors across multiple locations to ensure smooth operations and resolve tenant issues.
- Perform inspections across multiple properties to ensure compliance and optimal performance, coordinating contractor activities across sites and reporting issues.
- Follow safety protocols and use PPE for all tasks; enforce compliance with safety standards across all managed properties; maintain safety logs for each building under management.
- Communicate verbally and in writing with teammates, leadership team, vendors, tenants, and client employees in a professional manner, keeping the appropriate customer(s) informed/updated as needed.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
- HS Diploma or GED required
- Three to five years of job related experience or commensurate certification/trade experience
- CFC Certification preferred or willingness to obtain as requested; possess engineering and trade licenses required according to local, state, or national requirements
- Valid driver's license and clean driving record with the ability to adhere to Use of Company Vehicle policy/procedures
- Basic working knowledge of laptop and phone applications for work order and facility operation systems as well as basic skills with Microsoft Outlook
- Familiar with fire/life safety equipment/procedures
- Proven track record for delivering excellent internal and external customer service; ability to successfully interact/communicate with tenants/vendors/contractors as well as teammates and leadership team
- Familiarity with blueprints and code requirements
- Ability to work after hours, weekends, holidays, and during emergency situations as necessary to meet the needs of the client
- Possess competent knowledge of use and care of tools
- Ability to read and write English in order to understand manuals and procedures, and to write reports.
Physical Requirements
- Ability to stand, walk, climb ladders, and lift up to 50 pounds
- Perform physically demanding tasks such as stooping, crouching, and kneeling
