Building Engineer

Responsibilities

• Maintain basic operation and maintenance of all building equipment and systems.
• Perform preventive maintenance and repairs on all mechanical, electrical, plumbing and HVAC systems.
• Make adjustments and changes to HVAC and related equipment to maintain established operating criteria.
• Participate in water treatment chemical programs.
• Maintain operation logs and files.
• Respond promptly and courteously to tenant requests.
• Establish and maintain cooperative working relationships.
• Participate in emergency procedures and drills.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Two years commercial HVAC or related experience.
• Successful completion of the Hines “Introduction to Engineering” training program.
• Functional knowledge of the Engineering Assessment Guidelines.
• Basic math skills for equipment performance testing and building operations.
• Effective communication skills.
• Computer skills to administer required engineering programs.
• Sufficient physical ability to lift 25 lbs. or more, stand all day, climb stairs and ladders, access remote work areas, and work indoors/outdoors.

Pay

$55,000 - $75,000
