About the role
Facilitate building services within an assigned complex of facilities, usually encompassing multiple building locations. Services include management of shipping/receiving, building safety and security, equipment maintenance, space allocation, and related records maintenance.
This position interacts consistently with building occupants, unit management, visitors, inspectors, maintenance personnel, and vendors/contractors. It serves as the primary point of contact for unit management housed within assigned facilities.
Responsibilities
- Oversee and coordinate facilities shipping and receiving processes, which may include mail distribution.
- Monitor and maintain building security and safe practices.
- Coordinate and oversee equipment maintenance within assigned facilities; coordinate schedules and provide required access as needed.
- Serve as the point of contact for unit management housed within assigned facilities.
- Manage the work order system and other records related to building maintenance, equipment, and security.
- Utilize the existing event management system to plan and approve events; provide tours to potential customers; update and communicate event policies and procedures.
- Manage event setup and breakdown, interacting with Georgia Tech event coordinators, AV team, building support team, student assistants, and vendors.
- Maintain event records, including minor accounting duties such as after-hour event invoicing.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Requirements
- High school diploma, GED Certificate, or Vocational School Diploma.
- Five to eight years of job-related experience.
Preferred Qualifications
- Familiarity with Workday.
- Experience submitting purchase orders, ordering office supplies and small equipment, and reconciling building expense accounts.
- Experience managing budgets using Microsoft Excel.
Skills
- Advanced working knowledge of building operations and general maintenance requirements.
- Customer service, contractor relations, building security and safety, and records maintenance.
- Proficiency in office-related computer applications.
Pay
$21.84/hr - $29.69/hr
