About the role
Transform at JLL as a Building Controls Specialist on a prominent Fortune 500 technology client account.
Responsibilities
- Oversee the maintenance and operations of power monitoring systems within a specific region.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, clients, and stakeholders.
- System integrated development including OPC (DMZ), Power Management Expert, Johnson Metasys System, and SQL Database.
- Modify or build Visio drawings of field changes and discrepancies for engineering corrections.
- Serve as Power Management Expert for NC locations (Data Center, Administration, and Manufacturing Buildings) and MA, CA, UT, VA as necessary.
- Perform preventive maintenance on energy management systems and equipment, including log files, metering accuracy, and energy KWH reporting (monthly ISO 50K SEUs).
- Maintain RTUs, Busway, Lighting, Compressed Air, Data Center, and Utility Main SWG.
- Manage Modbus Gateway Communication, Dashboard Capacity/Load Reporting, Data Center/Labs, and Architectural Review (annually including TAGS Compliance).
- Respond to service calls to restore systems operation and control.
- Provide recommendations on equipment/systems operation and modification for energy conservation, efficiency, and reliability.
- Perform product/device validation to ensure compliance with customer cybersecurity requirements, including Parallel Switching Gear-SCADA, UPS Energy Management, and SCADA-Power Management.
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- 2+ years of hands-on experience installing, testing, and maintaining control systems in industrial maintenance, electrical troubleshooting, automation, or controls environments.
- PLC programming & troubleshooting (Programmable Logic Controllers).
- HMI/SCADA systems (Human-Machine Interface / Supervisory Control).
- Experience with control panels, relays, sensors, and actuators.
- Ability to read schematics & wiring diagrams.
- Knowledge of pressure, temperature, and flow sensors.
- Understanding of industrial networks (Ethernet/IP, Modbus, etc.).
- Basic understanding of motors, drives (VFDs), and controller programming (Johnson Controls, Schneider, Honeywell, etc.).
Preferred Qualifications
- Associate degree or technical certification in Electrical Engineering Technology, Automation Engineering, or HVAC Controls (for building systems).
- PLC programming certifications (Allen-Bradley, Siemens, etc.).
- CCST (Control Systems Technician) certification.
- CCE (Certified Controls Engineer) certification.
Pay
Estimated base salary range: $85,000 - $102,000

Onsite, Monday–Friday, 7:30 AM–4:30 PM
