Responsibilities
- Identify and address field issues proactively.
- Inspect commercial or industrial buildings and structures to ensure compliance with local, state, and national codes.
- Prepare and process construction records, including RFI’s, submittals, progress pay applications, extra work billings, and contract change orders.
- Document all field activities and collaborate with owners and contractors.
- Represent Dewberry and clients in high capacities.
- Use common computer programs like MS Word and Excel for daily diary entries, quantity calculations, and other required tasks.
Requirements
- 3+ years of experience.
- A high school diploma or equivalent is required.
- C5 Commercial Combination Inspector ICC certification is required.
- B2 Commercial Building Inspector certification is required.
- E2 Commercial Electrical Inspector certification is required.
- M2 Commercial Mechanical Inspector certification is required.
- P2 Commercial Plumbing Inspector certification is required.
- An associates degree in Construction Management or a related field is preferred but not required.
- Knowledge of commercial or residential building construction processes and applicable building codes.
- Strong written and oral communication skills.
- Relevant project experience on commercial or residential building construction and inspection.
- Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record.

Benefits
This position is covered under CA prevailing wage. In addition to the base hourly rate, all applicable fringes will apply.
Pay
The projected range for this position is $58.77/Hr. - $75.00/Hr. Depending upon other factors, i.e., skills, experience, location, market conditions, the range may vary slightly.
