CodeGreen is a national building solutions firm that partners with clients to make buildings safe, healthy, resilient, and sustainable. Our multidisciplinary team brings extensive expertise in sustainability, decarbonization, building code, fire safety, resiliency, indoor environmental quality, and inspections. We support building owners, investors, and tenants through every phase of a building's lifecycle from construction and acquisition through upgrades and renovation to disposition.
Responsibilities
- Cook up and strategize with Developers, Landlords, Contractors, Clients, Consultants, and Licensed Design Professionals to obtain the necessary approvals and permits from various city agencies, including development of project schedules and associated key milestones
- Oversee development of project schedules and key milestones with associated Project Managers, Construction Managers, Architects and Clients
- Participate in Client Presentations, Functions, etc.
- Maintain database for associated forms and filing procedures through appropriate city agency platform; maintain records for various types of filings and city agencies
- Prepare and submit proposals for assigned work, inclusive of monitoring project budgets and issuing associated Change Orders as required. Use of Salesforce, Mavenlink or other appropriate tools is expected to complete this work
- Maintain ongoing correspondence and communication with Clients, Design Consultants, Construction Managers, etc. to keep projects moving forward and to identify and eliminate roadblocks as needed
- Monitor project schedules and scopes of work, notify pertinent stakeholders of significant changes in project status or areas of concern
- Guide and support Project Managers on internal and external procedures related to filings, client management, etc.
- In partnership with leadership, assist with day to day oversight of Project managers
Requirements
- Education or background in architecture
- Experience working directly with commercial/residential building owners, tenants, developers, and architects
- Extensive knowledge of permit application processes (including submitting, filing, and turnaround times)
- Extensive knowledge of certificates of occupancy and inspections of occupancy
- Knowledge of city filing platforms such as DOB Now, BIS, E-filing, Inspection Ready, etc.
- Experience with application approval timing and strategizing on submissions
- Able to follow-up on submissions and amendments required from construction through to occupancy
- Effective communication (both written and verbal) skills and high level of professionalism and leadership with both clients and internal team
- Strong organization skills and a high level of attention-to-detail
- Knowledge of construction plans required
- Proficient in Microsoft Office (including Word, Excel, and Project)
- Proficiency in selected Project Management software (Salesforce, Mavenlink) desired
