About the role

Persistence Prep is a new K‑8 charter school in Buffalo founded on the belief that all students, regardless of race, disability, home language, SES status, or zip code, can learn and achieve at high levels when held to the highest expectations. The school’s mission is to ensure scholars are on the path to succeed in a four‑year college and create positive change in their communities. Currently serving grades K‑4, Persistence Prep seeks reliable building‑based substitute teachers to support its growing school community. Requirements

• Valid New York State certification in one of the following areas: English 5‑6 Ext (5101), Pre K‑6 (3011), Math 5‑6 Ext (5131), English 7‑9 Ext (4060), Math 7‑9 Ext (4084), Students with Disabilities Grades 1‑6 (9014), Elementary Education, Students with Disabilities (All Grades) (0254), Students with Disabilities – Generalist Grades 5‑9 (9015)

Pay

Starting salary: $45,000.00 (competitive)
