Building Attendant (Overnight)

Job Overview

The Overnight Building Attendant position at College Suites at Hudson Valley is a full-time role covering Wednesday through Saturday nights from 9:00 PM to 5:00 AM. This position is non-exempt and pays between $18 - $19 per hour.

Responsibilities

• Greets prospective and existing residents and assists them.
• Answers all phone calls/takes messages and/or directs to the right department.
• Aids residents with various needs such as resident issues, key entry, and package delivery.
• Delivers flyers, notices, and related materials to residents.
• Maintains daily sign-in sheets and notifies maintenance of any maintenance-related requests from residents.
• Monitors and patrols all amenity areas and the parking lot for any activity.
• Patrols hallways to ensure all entry doors and windows are locked and secure, and addresses any maintenance issues.
• Notifies the Property Manager/on-call Maintenance of all problems and potential issues.
• Completes a daily log of property and activity, keeping work areas clean, orderly, and safe.
• Handles fire calls and directs the Fire Department upon arrival.

Requirements

• High School Diploma or equivalent experience in security, specifically an overnight shift.
• 2+ years in customer service, security, hospitality, or a related field.
• Experience working overnight shifts is preferred.
• Working knowledge of building security systems and basic computer skills for documentation.
• Security Guard License/Card preferred.
