About the role

As a Building Assembly Technician, you will be assembling metal building structures and prefabricated components using tools, blueprints, and detailed instructions. Your responsibilities include reading, interpreting, and following blueprints and other written instructions to accurately assemble equipment and products. You will also install siding, operate a forklift, prep weld fittings, and participate in shop cleanup.

Responsibilities

  • Assemble metal building structures on our welded skids using various tools and equipment according to job specifications.
  • Read, interpret, and follow basic blueprints and other written instructions and/or procedures to accurately assemble equipment and products.
  • Possess an immense amount of attention to detail.
  • The ability to follow training and company procedures.
  • Assemble prefabricated parts to be used in the fabrication of our product.
  • Install siding.
  • Operate a forklift within the safety procedures and policies prescribed.
  • Prep weld fittings.
  • Participate in shop cleanup and keep your area clean during working hours.

Qualifications

  • A high school diploma or G.E.D. is preferred but not required.
  • 0-2 years of manufacturing or construction experience is preferred, but not required.
  • Good motor vehicle record is required.
  • Ability to use Microsoft Office programs specifically Excel.
  • Must possess the ability to interact effectively with all levels of personnel, both hourly and management, in a team environment.
  • Ability to read blueprints, ISO’s, and other technical documents is preferred.
  • Must be able to read a tape measure.
  • Must be able to perform job responsibilities at heights.
  • High mechanical aptitude required.

Physical Demands

  • The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.
  • While performing the duties of this position, the employee is regularly required to walk, stand, use hands and fingers, grip, handle or feel; reach with hands and arms; climb or balance; stoop; kneel, crouch, or crawl; and talk and hear.
  • Ability to lift and carry 50 lbs. regularly is required.
  • Must be able to stand/walk 90% of the time and sit 10% of the time.
  • Requires the ability to work from heights while utilizing the appropriate PPE for each situation.

Pay

Salary Range: USD $21.25/Hr. - USD $28.98/Hr.
