BUILDER SPECIALIST

About the role

Join the largest manufacturer of tile and natural stone in the United States as a Builder Specialist with Dal-Tile, a subsidiary of Mohawk Industries. This role focuses on increasing product sales within an assigned territory by developing new business and working with large national and regional home offices of builders, design centers, and internal sales teams to drive residential sales.

You will service very large existing builders, design centers, and residential interior designers through sales calls, relationship development, product updates, and merchandising programs.

Responsibilities

• Prospect, secure, and register large new builder customers, and develop business relationships with new design center managers and interior designers.
• Coordinate with the Marketing team to communicate trends and competitive products through product and merchandising reviews with customers.
• Communicate current information regarding registered builder products, merchandising programs, and builder agreement parameters to the internal team.
• Lead regular builder tracking meetings, participate in regional or national trade shows, and hold product knowledge seminars for builders and designers.
• Establish working relationships with all builder customers and purchasing agents to ensure a complete understanding of their business practices and protocol.
• Develop in-depth knowledge and expertise regarding all new single and multi-family construction in the region.
• Perform other duties as needed.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in a related field preferred.
• 2-4 years of relevant experience OR an equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Strong knowledge of technical, process, and business principles as well as industry practices and standards.
• Excellent communication, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
• Ability to multitask, prioritize, and manage time effectively.
• High level of integrity and discretion in handling sensitive and confidential data.
• Proficiency using Microsoft Office Suite products.
• Ability to lift 50 pounds regularly.
