About the role
Mungo Homes is seeking a Builder/Residential Project Manager to coordinate and monitor all construction activities in our Wilmington, NC market. This position ensures consistent methods are followed to achieve desired results in quality, consistency, and timeliness of assigned building projects.
Responsibilities
- Maintain schedules for each building according to a designated start schedule in assigned neighborhood(s).
- Work with Purchasing, Estimating, Quality, Production Management, and Land Development to resolve problems and coordinate activities.
- Evaluate project costs, maintain budgets, including PO’s, VPO’s, and verify back charges are processed; communicate all variances to designated contacts.
- Examine and inspect work progress and construction sites to verify safety, construction, and performance standards are met.
- Complete all inspections on time and handle required paperwork, including daily reporting, scheduling, and payment approvals.
- Maintain all records and field ledgers as required by the Company, both manually and electronically.
- Develop and maintain relationships with Production team members, customers/clients, and trade partners.
- Monitor work performance of Punch/Merchandising personnel and/or trade partners; report feedback to Production Management.
- Attend scheduled meetings and provide feedback for improvements to work processes and procedures.
- Interact with customers/clients as required and report material/delivery issues to Production Management, Drafting, Estimating, and Purchasing.
- Obtain appropriate state building license as required and pursue continuing education relevant to the profession.
- Oversee and manage daily activities of field labor crews where required.
- Pursue continuous improvement within the position to meet overall production goals.
- Meet or exceed performance levels in key indicators and specific goals for the position and Production Department.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree (B.A.) from a four-year college or university preferred; or one to two years of relevant experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook).
- Experience with KOVA software preferred.
- Valid state driver’s license in good standing and minimum state-required automobile insurance.
