About the role
As a Builder and Service Specialist, you are part of the backbone of our production team. Your role is to ensure that the transition from a completed sale to a finished project moves along accurately, smoothly, and as quickly as possible, helping us to deliver on our promises to customers. You will master product ordering, share vendor and subcontractor relationships, help with inventory management, and back-up our scheduling coordinator.
Responsibilities
- Execute accurate builder takeoffs, submit precise builder sales orders, and manage dedicated builder job scheduling.
- Manage warranties, file manufacturer claims, and resolve customer complaints swiftly to ensure total client satisfaction.
- Drive structure, clarity, and precision in daily trade and service operations.
- Strengthen and refine job-site execution systems, workflows, and administrative processes.
- Coordinate ordering, product tracking, inventory management, and vendor/subcontractor communication.
- Support scheduling and field coordination to ensure seamless job handoffs and timely completions.
- Track and analyze key numbers, performance, and job costing to protect project margins.
- Stay abreast of products, materials, and ordering processes to ensure accuracy and maximum efficiency.
- Ensure a consistently high-level customer experience for all builder, commercial, and retail accounts.
- Help build and maintain a healthy, accountable, solutions-focused team culture.
Who You Are
- Industry Experience: A background in flooring, construction, or a related trade is required. You understand job site dynamics, vendor leads, and subcontractor coordination.
- Process-Oriented: You enjoy creating order and following established workflows to ensure consistent results. You don’t just manage tasks—you build better ways of operating.
- Organized & Detail-Driven: You don’t drop balls; you track them before they’re thrown, ensuring plan takeoffs, sales orders, and site schedules never slip.
- Naturally Numbers-Oriented: You understand margins, job costing, estimations, and performance metrics.
- Tech-Savvy: You are comfortable navigating computers/software and are a quick study with digital tools and management platforms.
- Solutions-Focused Communicator: You are approachable, direct, and clear—able to de-escalate customer complaints and partner with builders, vendors, and superintendents to resolve issues fast.
