About the Role

A Builder repairs and assembles cabinets with quality or material issues to pass inspection using various tools and fixtures.

Responsibilities

  • Use pneumatic equipment, power, and hand tools; hot melt glue, jigs, and other equipment to assemble cabinets and/or install missing components of cabinets to specifications
  • Check components and assembled cabinets for quality standards and assemble packing trays
  • Use computer programs in various aspects of building and repair of cabinets to specifications
  • Accurately interpret production labels and data in various computer systems
  • When assigned, work off-line to address building errors
  • Maintain a safe work environment, including housekeeping
  • Other duties as assigned

Requirements

  • High school diploma or G.E.D.
  • Ability to identify cabinet types, wood species, finishes, and color variances
  • Ability to use basic math concepts and read a standard tape measure

Qualifications

Physical Ability

  • Ability to walk and stand for extended periods of time
  • Frequent bending, crouching, pulling, and pushing
  • Regularly lift and/or move up to 30lb, occasionally lift and/or move up to 50lb

Working Conditions

  • Working in an indoor environment with excessive hot, humid, and cold temperatures
  • Protective safety gear will be required including safety glasses, gloves, and sleeves
  • The noise level is usually moderate to high
  • Occasional overtime and weekend work as required
