Budget/Facilities/Contract Analyst
About the Role
The Analyst II provides analytical support to the Division of Administrative Services in the Attorney General’s San Diego legal office. This role involves employee on-boarding and separating, office space allocation, contracting with service providers, monitoring personnel and section budgets, and assisting with facility management tasks.
Responsibilities
- Develop and implement Smartsheet services
- Maintain detailed records of personnel and facility information in complex Excel spreadsheets
- Manage floor plans and secure access systems
- Initiate purchasing contracts for various services
- Process invoices for payment
- Collaborate with budget analysts in the Headquarters office
- Develop cost allocations to various program budgets
- Coordinate office space and relocation projects
- Act as project manager for process improvement initiatives and tenant improvement projects
- Engage service providers for facility repairs, attorney services, and other support requirements
- Perform other duties, reports, and special projects as delegated by the Supervisor II and LSO Southern CA Manager
Requirements
This position is suited for a motivated administrative professional with strong analytical skills and attention to detail.
Pay
$6,031.00 - $7,547.00 per month. New to State candidates will be hired at the minimum salary of the classification. Current state employees or those with reinstatement rights will have salaries determined in accordance with applicable laws, rules, and regulations.
Schedule
- Permanent, full-time position
- Work Shift: 8:00 am - 5:00 pm
- Work Week: Monday - Friday

Effective July 1, 2025, state employees are subject to temporary wage reductions in exchange for Personal Leave Program (PLP) accruals. The specific rate and hours earned vary by bargaining unit.
