Description of Work
The primary purpose of this position is to provide budgetary guidance and consultation to assigned divisions and senior management. Position interprets legislation and budgetary policy, formulates continuation and expansion budgets, reviews and approves budget revision requests, provides analysis for management and division staff, Fiscal Research, and the Office of State Budget and Management. Responds to requests for information from these entities.
- Ensure all assigned budgets are properly certified and revised.
- Interpret, analyze, and report on-going budget operations and make recommendations to the Budget Manager and Chief Financial Officer.
- Assist with the preparation of the continuation budgets and the review of the expansion budgets.
- Review and make decisions on contracts.
- Review and analyze the utilization of federal revenues.
Requirements
Bachelor’s degree in business administration, public administration, accounting, or related field from an accredited institution and four years of experience, preferably including experience in accounting or budgeting; or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Experience utilizing a State, Federal, and/or Local Government budget/fund system.
- Experience monitoring, approving, and/or certifying state, local, and/or federal budgets.

Pay
Recruiting Range: $57,983.00 - $74,365.00
