About the role

The Budget Analyst at Cobb Innovation & Technology Academy is responsible for managing and analyzing financial data to support budgeting and forecasting processes. This role involves preparing detailed reports, monitoring expenditures, and collaborating with various departments to ensure fiscal integrity and compliance.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and analyze financial reports to support budgeting and forecasting
• Maintain accurate records of all financial transactions and prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements
• Monitor departmental spending and provide recommendations to optimize resource allocation
• Collaborate with other departments to ensure compliance with financial policies and procedures
• Respond to inquiries from stakeholders regarding financial matters
• Prepare and present financial analyses and projections to senior management

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field
• Minimum 3 years of experience in financial analysis or budgeting
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel and Access
• Strong analytical skills and attention to detail
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks simultaneously
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

Qualifications

• Knowledge of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP)
• Experience with budgeting software and tools
• Understanding of financial reporting standards and regulations

Pay

Salary range: $60,000 - $70,000 annually

Schedule

Full-time position with a shift start time of 7:45 AM and an end time of 3:45 PM.
