Budget Analyst.

About the role

This position is a developmental position hiring at the GG-09 or GG-11 level, with full-performance at the GG-11 level.

Responsibilities

Perform budgetary and administrative functions required in the formulation, execution, and review of assigned portions of the appropriated fund budget of the National Ground Intelligence Center.

• Analyze budget estimates and supporting data provided by Directorates and provide recommendations to assure compliance with regulatory and legal limitations and restrictions within the resource programs.
• Develop budget estimates for mission support, maintenance, personnel travel, and civilian pay by researching, compiling, and summarizing data required during the formulation of the annual budget.
• Determine availability of funds and distribute funds to ensure maximum utilization throughout the fiscal year.

Requirements

• Appointment may be subject to a suitability or fitness determination, as determined by a completed background investigation.
• Must successfully pass a urinalysis screening for illegal drug use prior to appointment and periodically thereafter.
• Requires Temporary Duty (TDY) travel up to 10% of the time.
• Obtain and Maintain FM Certificate Level 2
• Must be able to obtain and maintain a Top Secret (TS) security clearance based on a T5 investigation/Single Scope Background Investigation (SSBI) with eligibility for sensitive compartmented information (SCI).

To qualify, you must meet the education and/or experience requirements described below.

• To Qualify At The GG-09:
  • At least one year of experience which prepared you to do the work in this job, with specialized experience managing financial resources for an organization while adhering to regulatory guidance.
  • Or a master's or equivalent graduate degree or 2 full years of progressively higher-level graduate education leading to such a degree in a field which demonstrates the knowledge, skills, and abilities necessary to perform the work of the position.
  • Or a combination of the specialized experience and graduate education.
• To Qualify At The GG-11:
  • At least one year of experience which prepared you to do the work in this job, with specialized experience developing budget estimates and monitoring obligations and expenditures for an organization.
  • Or a Ph.D. or equivalent doctoral degree or 3 full years of progressively higher-level graduate education leading to such a degree in a field which demonstrates the knowledge, skills, and abilities necessary to perform the work of the position.
  • Or a combination of the specialized experience and graduate education.
