Essential Duties And Responsibilities
- Apply Federal, Department of War (DoW), and Navy financial regulations, directives, and accounting principles to Navy programs.
- Interface with clients daily to fulfill financial service requirements.
- Maintain accuracy and financial integrity of data within databases.
- Support all aspects of budget formulation and execution.
- Prepare financial and progress reports.
- C Conduct financial reconciliations.
- C Conduct financial analysis and provide recommended actions.
- Prepare and present status briefs to a wide audience of stakeholders.
- Prepare and review the accuracy of travel itineraries.
- Research and provide compliance instructions for Federal Travel Regulations.
Education, Knowledge, Experience, Skills, And Abilities Required
- Associate Degree in Business, Finance, or Accounting desired.
- Minimum of two years of budget related experience.
- Strong mathematical foundation and an analytical mindset.
- Proficient in the use of MS Office Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
- Prior experience with the Navy Enterprise Resource Planning and Defense Travel System desired.
Qualifications
- Active DoW Secret security clearance is highly desired, however candidates who are eligible to obtain and maintain a DoW Secret security clearance will be considered.
- If the selected candidate does not hold an active clearance, he/she will receive a contingent offer. A start date will be established once an interim Secret clearance is granted.
- U.S. citizenship required.
- Must have reliable transportation to and from various work locations on base.
- Must maintain the capability to communicate with their supervisor and/or manager when not in the office.
Physical Requirements
- Ability to frequently traverse stairs.
- Sitting for long periods of time, standing, walking, crouching, and kneeling.
- Reaching, handling, and using equipment, keyboards, and mobile devices.
- Ability to lift items weighing up to 20 lbs.
Wage
$23.94 per hour. The minimum salary excludes applicable benefits, bonuses, or performance spot awards.
