Budget Analyst
About the role
Koniag IT Systems, LLC a Koniag Government Services company, is seeking a Budget Analyst with a TS/SCI security clearance to support KITS and our government customer at the Pentagon, Arlington, VA. Responsibilities
- Works with program and project managers to develop the organization’s budget.
- Informs program managers of the status of project expenses versus its budget.
- Informs program managers via reports the status of availability of funds.
- Affords program managers support in information and the relevant needed explanations.
- Performs administrative and analytical duties in the formulation, presentation, and execution of the organization budget.
- Maintains budget controls and conducts studies of work processes, functions and procedures to improve operations.
- Serves as the functional point of contact for day to day budget/financial issues.
- Performs budget formulation work involving review and preparation of budget estimates and financial plans.
- Provides advice, assistance, and guidance on budgeting and related information and conducts analyses, reviews and special studies of budget and/or related information.
- Affords support to other team members in other specialties as needed to accomplish the overall mission.
Requirements
- 3+ years related experience.
- Bachelor’s Degree required in a relevant field.
- Must be familiar with DoD/DISA Budget Process.
- Must have experience using automated DoD/DISA accounting systems.
- Highly motivated professional and capable of managing demanding workload while prioritizing and managing competing priorities.
- Demonstrates excellent communication skills, a high level of integrity, critical thinking, and leadership courage.
- Strong organizational management and problem-solving skills with impeccable multi-tasking abilities.
- Powerful analytical and problem-solving skills, including the ability to develop solutions in new and creative ways.
- Advanced MS Excel skills; proficient in all other Microsoft Office Suite application skills.
- Ability to organize and manage large amounts of data, files, tasks, schedules, and information.
- Ability to work independently on projects, from conception to completion.
- Comfortable in a fast paced/dynamic environment.
