About the role

The League Management Committee (LMC) acts in an advisory capacity for Women’s BUCS Super Rugby, ensuring delivery is fit for purpose and providing the BUCS Executive with advice from key stakeholders, including members and National Governing Body representatives. The Committee collaborates with the Sport Advisory Group (SAG) to align developments and changes within the league with the wider BUCS rugby union programme, supporting BUCS’ ambition to deliver exceptional student sporting experiences.

BUCS is seeking a currently enrolled student from a BUCS Member Institution competing in Women’s BUCS Super Rugby (WBSR) to serve as the Student Representative on the WBSR League Management Committee (LMC). The Student Representative will amplify the voice and opinions of student-athletes within the WBSR programme and act as an ambassador for WBSR.

Responsibilities

  • Act as an ambassador for BUCS and the WBSR programme.
  • Establish relationships between BUCS and student-athletes within WBSR member institutions.
  • Build and maintain a communication network with other students playing WBSR in institutions other than their own.
  • Advise the WBSR LMC on all matters relating to the student perspective of WBSR.
  • Offer insight and feedback on the current WBSR structure and provide member-led feedback for the future of WBSR.
  • Help develop a strategic annual delivery plan incorporating student feedback as a key element.
  • Attend all relevant WBSR LMC meetings and provide updates on actions from previous meetings.
  • Comply with the BUCS Volunteer Code of Conduct.
