About the role
The Apprentice is a development role at Main Line Health, aimed at providing talent with hands-on training and experience in healthcare. This role is designed to bridge the gap between education and career by offering practical learning opportunities, skill development, and mentorship. As a Patient Care Technician, you will be working collaboratively with the Nurses within the unit you are assigned. Your care and treatment of these patients is an integral part of the Patient Experience. You would be caring for patients by assisting with their daily living activities, taking vital signs, Accu-Checks, Phlebotomy, EKGs, and other nursing assistant responsibilities.
Responsibilities
- Assist with daily living activities of patients
- Take vital signs
- Perform Accu-Checks
- Conduct Phlebotomy
- Perform EKGs
Requirements
- No prior experience required
- Exposure to healthcare settings (e.g., volunteer work, internships) is a plus
- High School Diploma or GED required
- Recently Completed healthcare certifications or coursework is preferred
- Additional education may be required upon graduation of Apprenticeship Program
- Additional certification may be required upon graduation of Apprenticeship Program
