About the role
Dexterra Group is launching a new NAI-affiliated commercial real estate brokerage in Denver, creating an opportunity for an experienced Colorado broker to become part of the foundation of a new business from the very beginning. This role allows you to influence how a new brokerage is built without carrying responsibility for sales targets, business development activities, or operational management.
Responsibilities
- Serve as the brokerage’s designated Broker of Record / Employing Broker and primary regulatory authority
- Provide oversight and guidance to support compliance with Colorado real estate laws, regulations, and professional standards
- Support brokers and associate brokers on regulatory, compliance, and professional practice matters
- Review brokerage policies, procedures, marketing materials, and transaction practices from a compliance perspective
- Oversee trust and escrow account compliance requirements where applicable
- Support audits, inquiries, and licensing requirements with applicable regulatory bodies
- Partner with executive leadership to provide practical guidance on risk management, governance, and brokerage operations
- Help establish a culture of professionalism, integrity, and accountability as the business grows
Requirements
- Active Colorado real estate broker license in good standing
- Eligibility and willingness to serve as the brokerage’s Broker of Record / Employing Broker
- Significant experience within a real estate brokerage environment, ideally in commercial real estate
- Strong knowledge of Colorado real estate regulations, brokerage compliance requirements, and professional standards
- Sound judgment, credibility, and the confidence to provide independent oversight when required
- Strong communication and relationship-building skills
- Ability to work effectively with business leaders, brokers, legal and finance professionals, and administrative teams
- A practical approach that balances regulatory compliance with commercial realities
Nice to Have
- Previous experience serving as a Broker of Record, Employing Broker, Managing Broker, or Brokerage Manager
- Commercial real estate brokerage experience
- Exposure to a national or international brokerage network
- Familiarity with commercial property management, facilities management, or related real estate service lines
- Experience helping establish or scale a growing brokerage operation
