About the role
The Broker in Charge/Sales Manager at Compass is responsible for leading a large agent population, motivating, coaching and mentoring sales agents, and providing strategic and operational guidance to the Company's executive team. This role acts as a conduit between the regional leadership team and our agents, focusing on implementing various sales and platform-related initiatives and policies aligned with the company's vision and annual goals.
Responsibilities
- Leading and retaining Compass agents while fostering an exceptional company culture
- Leading regular office-wide agent meetings for growth planning, broader performance reviews, company policy updates, and any other company or market updates
- Relaying market intelligence from the Research team and Business Development targets to agents
- Providing high-level business planning, feedback, and professional development guidance to agents
- Developing initiatives to boost agent productivity and reinforcing these practices through coaching
- Tracking and monitoring key metrics and platform adoption that drive revenue and increase efficiency
- Ensuring a positive work environment to enhance agent satisfaction and overall retention
- Resolving agent, brokerage, and contract/compliance issues as needed
- Acting as a culture carrier who inspires and empowers others with a positive and constructive approach to creating and implementing change
- Relaying on-the-ground market trends from agents to Business Development and Executive team
- Developing and sharing perspectives on future agent management
- Implementing various sales-related initiatives and policies in alignment with the company's vision and values
- Building and driving strategies to grow the adoption of Compass tech, programs, and ancillary services within your agent population
- Partnering with Business Development to collaborate on agent candidates and providing support to agents in pitching new business opportunities
- Completing agent contract renewals for your agent roster annually

Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree, preferred
- Experience with contract review
- Personal Sales Experience as a Realtor with 5+ years of being licensed, Brokers license preferred, validly licensed in applicable state(s) at all times of service
- At least two years of experience as an Associate Sales Manager or 5+ years in real estate sales/sales management
- Deep understanding of local real estate contracts and laws
- Must obtain state license requirements for any jurisdiction in which they are operating (e.g., Broker’s level)

Pay
The base pay range for this position is $136,500 - $151,700, with bonuses and restricted stock units potentially included as part of the compensation package. Base pay is based on market location, and the minimum wage for the position will always be met.
