Job Overview

Division Reports To: Koch Logistics & Warehousing Operations Manager
Employee Classification: Full Time
Hours: 40 hours per week

Essential Job Functions

• Generate new leads with trucking companies and solicit new prospects using industry tools, such as DAT, PC Mile and Truckstop
• Develop strong, professional relationships with carrier contacts
• Qualify carriers as necessary per government and company regulations
• Work with shippers, carriers, and dispatchers to manage schedules
• Provide current and prospective customers with shipping quotes
• Maintain freight files and customer receipts (i.e., rate confirmation)
• Create, coordinate, and manage pick-up and delivery schedules, coordinating with shippers, carriers, dispatchers, and customers
• Resolve freight discrepancies and customer concerns professionally, and keep relevant parties apprised
• Directly contact consignees for loads that require appointments or notification and follow up with carrier to ensure freight has delivered as scheduled
• Promptly enter data into computer so that billing can be completed
• Arrange for load storage with necessary agents directly

Secondary Job Functions

• Serve as a representative of the Company, displaying courtesy, tact, consideration, and discretion in all interactions with other members of the Koch community, customers and with the public
• Perform cross training as required
• Perform additional duties and projects as assigned

Working Conditions

Secure, climate-controlled office environment
Overtime and after-hours support expected, especially during peak season
