Broker Account Executive (Southern California)

About the role
Responsible for the oversight, training, and servicing of the broker distribution channel in the assigned market to position our health plan for sales achievement and success. This position will manage a network of General Agencies, independent brokers, and ancillary stakeholders while adhering to Federal and State regulations governing the representation and sale of Medicare Advantage Plans.
Responsibilities
- Achieve all broker sales targets, with success measured by attainment of sales goals.
- Maintain business relationships with brokers, general agency representatives, and ancillary stakeholders by providing outstanding service in the assigned territory.
- Expand the broker sales distribution channel by identifying, training, and certifying new agencies and brokers.
- Coordinate and present all broker education curriculum, including the SCAN Broker Certification training for new brokers.
- Monitor broker quality and resolve issues to ensure high-quality representation of SCAN.
- Ensure brokers utilize current marketing materials and forms; administer broker supply and material requests.
- Assist with enrollments by verifying and processing broker requests and resolving member inquiries and plan eligibility issues.
- Provide reporting on new business opportunities and issues encountered in the field related to network, claims, customer service, or marketing.
- Maintain all federal, state, and CMS compliance requirements for the broker distribution channel.
- Work closely with marketing staff to implement and execute broker cooperative marketing campaigns.
- Actively support the achievement of SCAN’s vision and goals.

Requirements
- G.E.D. or High School diploma.
- Located in Southern California.
- Active CA Life and Health Insurance brokerage license in good standing.
- 5+ years of sales experience with Medicare Advantage Plans.
- Strong presentation skills to effectively address diverse audiences.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Strong organizational skills and ability to multitask.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality.
- Strong analytical and critical thinking skills.
- Extensive driving required (50% or more of the time) in the assigned area. Must have a valid driver’s license, automobile insurance, and reliable transportation.
Pay
Base salary range: $80,000–$115,000 annually. Commission eligible.
Schedule
Work Mode: Mostly Remote/Field (Southern California).
