About the role

The Possible Zone (TPZ) seeks a School Based Site Lead to serve as the primary point person for the implementation of TPZ's program at our partnering school in Brockton. As an embedded member of the Curriculum & Instruction team, you will act as a program facilitator, instructional mentor, and site operations leader.

Primary Responsibilities

  • Site Operations & Leadership (30%)

    • Serve as the primary TPZ presence at the school, participating in strategic leadership meetings to provide regular updates on site activities, successes, and challenges.
    • Lead weekly team meetings with cross-departmental members to ensure cohesive, high-quality program implementation.
    • Care for logistics and planning, coordinate space for programming, order necessary lab materials and supplies, and secure technology support with the operations team.
    • Manage the yearly calendar of events, including presentations of learning and fieldwork experiences (e.g., coordinating buses and permission slips).
    • Partner with the Recruitment & Enrollment team to engage potential students and families at the Brockton site.
    • Ensure all TPZ site activities align with both TPZ organizational policies and school district calendars/policies.
  • Instructional Mentoring & Onboarding (30%)

    • Observe school-day educators and provide regular feedback and co-planning sessions to integrate TPZ’s instructional framework into daily practice.
    • Plan and facilitate professional development (PD) sessions for school staff focused on PBL and competency-based learning.
    • Facilitate reflection cycles to model high-leverage instructional practices and support continuous improvement.
    • Lead the onboarding and ongoing mentoring for both TPZ and partner school educators.
  • After-School & School-Day Programming (30%)

    • Facilitate hands-on TPZ labs, delivering project-based learning experiences that reinforce school-day curriculum.
    • Guide students in curating digital portfolios that document their growth in problem-solving, technical skills, and entrepreneurial mindsets.
    • Collaborate with school guidance counselors and support staff to ensure the success of all students in the pathway.
    • Serve as a primary point of connection for families at the Brockton site, ensuring consistent communication about student progress, championing family participation in program experiences, and modeling a culture of partnership across the site team.
    • Data Oversight: Oversee the collection of student data, including attendance, competency progress trackers, and evaluation surveys.
    • Instructional Coverage: Serve as a substitute instructor when educators are absent to ensure continuity of programming.
  • Professional Growth & Organizational Contribution (10%)

    • Actively participate in organization-wide DEI (Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion) working groups and initiatives to ensure a culturally responsive environment.
    • Engage in internal and external professional development to stay current on PBL, STEAM, and adolescent development trends.
    • Contribute to the refinement of TPZ’s instructional framework and organizational strategy through all-staff retreats, cross-departmental projects, and Senior Manager cohorts.

    • Maintain site-level administrative tasks, including evaluation performance reviews for direct reports, budget tracking, and organizational reporting via Asana.

Qualifications

  • Professional Experience:

    • At least 5 years of experience working with high school students in formal or informal settings.
  • Instructional Expertise:

    • At least 3 years of experience engaging youth from under-resourced communities in ways that are culturally responsive, project-based, and competency-based, with attention to the whole-child, SEL, and identity development, and building a strong culture and community.
  • Content Knowledge:

    • Experience in 1 or more of the following: Computer Science/IT, Advanced Manufacturing, Healthcare/Life Sciences, Entrepreneurial Spirit, Supervisory Skills, Strong Facilitation, Commitment to the success of every learner, Commitment to DEI.

Compensation & Benefits

$95,000-$130,000 TPZ offers performance-based compensation with merit and bonus potential. Our Compensation philosophy is designed with checks and balances to ensure pay equity and to fairly recognize and reward employees' contributions.
