Broadcast Maintenance Engineer
About the role
The Broadcast Maintenance Engineer will perform daily preventative maintenance, troubleshooting, and problem solving of all equipment associated with a 24/7/365 television operation in a major market. Responsibilities include maintenance of automated Master Control systems, Studio, Automated Production Control Room Systems, Camera Control Systems, Robotic cameras, Remote Production ENG equipment, Post Production, Newsroom Video Playback and Archive solutions, ENG/SNG operations, NAS systems, Non Linear edit systems and Satellite distribution systems.
Responsibilities
- Perform daily preventative maintenance, troubleshooting, and problem solving of all equipment associated with a 24/7/365 television operation in a major market.
- Maintain automated Master Control systems, Studio, Automated Production Control Room Systems, Camera Control Systems, Robotic cameras, Remote Production ENG equipment, Post Production, Newsroom Video Playback and Archive solutions, ENG/SNG operations, NAS systems, Non Linear edit systems and Satellite distribution systems.
- Aid in system design, construction and commissioning of new technologies at the Studio, Transmitter and Remote Facilities.
Requirements
- At least 5 years’ experience in TV Engineering which must include a strong IT background.
- A B.S. degree with an emphasis in Engineering or IT is preferred.
- Must be able to communicate effectively in verbal and written form in addition to being able to work closely with all station staff in a team environment.
- Must possess a valid driver’s license and have the ability to lift 50 lbs.
- Individual must be able to work flexible hours and shifts. Overnight and weekend availability required.
- Candidate must join the IATSE Local 794 union.

Pay
The pay range for this role, with final offer amount dependent on education, skills, experience and in accordance with the applicable union collective bargaining agreement is: $52.25 per hour.
Schedule
Flexible working hours and shifts. Overnight and weekend availability required.
