Broadcast Control Room Lead
About the role
The Los Angeles Clippers and Inuit Dome are actively seeking a creative, passionate, and experienced Broadcast Control Room Lead to support our new home, Intuit Dome. This unique role provides a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to be part of bringing Intuit Dome to life.
Responsibilities
- Works alongside the Manager of Broadcast & Production Service to coordinate and manage all aspects of production for Intuit Dome and LA Clippers.
- Set up, maintain, and supervise usage of all A/V switching equipment, processing and monitor equipment, 4k HD cameras, Fiber and copper encoding, decoding and streaming equipment.
- Perform preventive maintenance and/or troubleshooting on a large variety of systems.
- Train and mentor production control room game day staff on proper operations.
- Cookordination with game/event day operators to ensure content is loaded and up to date.
- Maintain documentation and create user SOP’s.
- Operate at multiple control room positions.
Requirements
- 3+ years of broadcast control room and major sporting experience.
- Strong Grass Valley Switcher knowledge.
- Strong knowledge of video and audio signal flows, workflows, protocols, and codecs.
- Solid problem-solving skills and workflow documentation.
- Experience in both hardware and software systems.
- Passion for figuring broadcast systems, infrastructure, and workflows out.
- You thrive in live events where every second matters and are a firm believer in collaboration.
- Excellent communicator, ability to build relationships with vendors and recognize the impact of this role across all business functions.
- Self-starter with ability to work independently and within a team with a high sense of urgency.
- Strong leadership skills, exceptional collaboration skills and high ability to influence.
- Effective communication including verbal and written.
- Able to anticipate issues and resolve them based on sound engineering judgment.
- Be a flexible and reliable teammate.
- Able to work in high pressure, fast-paced, collaborative environment with quick turnarounds.
Qualifications
- Passport required due to international travel.
- Available to work a flexible schedule, including weeknights, select weekends, and holidays.

Pay
$67,000 - $75,000 annual compensation. Compensation package offered will be based on multiple individualized factors, including a candidate's job-related knowledge, skills, and experience.
Schedule
This is a full-time role based out of Inglewood and is eligible for a flexible schedule, including weeknights, select weekends, and holidays.
