About the role

Børneliv i Din Sociale Indgang – City/Østerbro (DSI C/Ø) seeks a child caregiver who wishes to work with municipal tasks in a development-oriented unit. As a child caregiver, you will play a vital role in ensuring that children and young people receive the right support at the right time, for example through the preparation of reports, the implementation of intervention plans, and close follow-up in collaboration with families and collaborating partners.

Responsibilities

  • Prepare and implement intervention plans and reports
  • Collaborate closely with families and collaborating partners
  • Implement methods such as Signs of Safety, ICS, and safety plans
  • Ensure high quality in case handling, while continuously working on method development and quality assurance through internal and external courses
  • Work independently and systematically, and collaborate with colleagues
  • Communicate with children, parents, and collaborating partners both verbally and in writing
  • Be organized and concise in your communication
  • Have personal resilience and a good sense of humor

Requirements

A relevant social background (child caregiver, social educator, etc.) is preferred, as is experience from municipal work in the child and youth field. We are also interested in newly graduated candidates with a passion for learning, professional ambitions, and a keen interest in navigating independent and systematic work, teamwork, and cross-disciplinary collaboration.

Qualifications

You have the ability to handle cases ranging from school disturbances to out-of-home placements, and you are attentive to the importance of structuring your work so that legal provisions and Copenhagen Municipality's goals and guidelines are adhered to.

Skills

Excellent verbal and written communication skills, organizational skills, and a good sense of humor are essential.

Pay and Schedule

The position is full-time (37 hours per week) and permanent, starting September 1, 2026, or as soon as possible thereafter.
