Responsibilities
- Instill Safety as a top priority.
- Hire, train, and develop craft personnel.
- Develop and maintain open communications with crews, project engineers, safety managers, and clients.
- Monitor job schedules to ensure timelines are met and coordinate work with contractors and deliveries with suppliers.
- Ensure construction complies with drawings, specifications, and all contractual requirements.
- Assist in preparing and executing work plans, manpower levels, material quantities, schedules, and equipment requirements.
- Monitor and adhere to established budgetary guidelines, ensuring cost control measures are followed.
- Inform project management of potential problems, work interferences, or schedule difficulties, and assist in resolving these issues.
- Lead an effective discipline team, delegating responsibilities and setting goals to ensure high-quality work that meets company policies, industry standards, and client expectations.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Requirements
- Minimum of 10 years as a foreman/supervisor in the Highway Heavy Construction Industry.
- Highly knowledgeable in all aspects of bridge construction, including structural concrete, forming, placing, and finishing.
- Understanding of cost management processes, planning, and scheduling.
- Experience managing crews of 20 or more employees.
- Strong written and oral communication skills.
- Attention to detail with the ability to recognize discrepancies.
- Positive attitude and excellent motivational skills.
- Strong time management, multitasking, and prioritization abilities.
- Valid Driver’s License.
Working Conditions
This role operates in a construction site environment, requiring physical ability to stand, walk, crawl, bend, reach, and climb. Involves lifting and carrying materials and objects, exposure to high noise levels, and adherence to safety protocols.
