Bridge Laborer - Lexington, KY

Responsibilities

• Ensures FRA compliance with work practices.
• Works with team members and is proactive with safety compliance.
• Maintains FRA Bridge worker fall protection requirements.
• Performs manual labor tasks related to bridge maintenance.
• Works independently and in groups, often in elevated environments requiring fall protection.
• Performs other duties as assigned.

Specialized or Technical Knowledge, or Education and Experience

• Experience in construction, maintenance, or laborer positions preferred.

Physical Requirements

• Able to perform physical strenuous work.
• Frequent bending, stooping, kneeling, and crouching.
• Able to lift and carry up to 50 lbs.
• Occasional use of tools such as a 30 lb claw bar and 10 lb sledge hammer.
• Able to walk, climb, and maintain balance on various terrains.
• Able to navigate into confined spaces if necessary.

Environmental Conditions

• Performs duties in job-site environments near moving locomotives, railcars, vehicles, and equipment.
• Frequent exposure to weather elements.
• Requires appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE).
