Bridge Inspection Team Leader / Structural Engineer (NBIS, FHWA/NHI Certified) – DOT Infrastructure

About the role

The successful candidate will lead bridge inspection teams and perform structural engineering tasks under the guidance of senior engineers. Responsibilities include conducting inspections, preparing reports, and ensuring compliance with federal and state regulations.

Responsibilities

• Conduct thorough inspections of bridges to identify potential issues and ensure safety standards are met.
• Prepare detailed inspection reports and recommendations for maintenance and repair.
• Collaborate with other engineers and departments to develop and implement structural solutions.
• Stay updated with the latest industry standards and regulations related to bridge inspection and structural engineering.

Requirements

• BS in Civil Engineering or related field.
• Minimum of 5 years of relevant experience in bridge inspection and structural engineering.
• NBIS (National Bridge Inspection Standards) and/or FHWA/NHI (Federal Highway Administration/National Highway Institute) certification.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and specialized software for structural analysis.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
